Ironically the war in Iran was probably one of the most effective ways to cut oil consumption.

- Gigachad 2mo agoAll that does is drive up prices which cause other users to cut back. Total oil consumption is directly tied to production. Oil production is stalled right now so less is being used, and the high prices are speeding up the electrification of everything.
