Music publishers sue Anthropic, allege "blantant theft" of copyrighted music
- alyeska2 2mo agoI had the idea to extort Anthropic before the music publishers did. They have blatantly stolen my idea and owe me all the money they collect.
- dgellow 2mo agoYou’re confusing copyright and patent
- dgellow 2mo agoThe quote from Sony/warner: > “Defendants Anthropic and its founders Dario Amodei and Benjamin Mann have conducted a brazen campaign of illegally torrenting, scraping, and downloading copyrighted works on a massive scale in order to develop, operate, and reap enormous profits from Anthropic's 'Claude' series of artificial intelligence ('AI') models," the plaintiffs write in the 48-page complaint. Well, that will be interesting, but will very likely be settled
- sirnicolaz 2mo agoI find myself on the side of the publishers. What a weird turn of events for someone who spent his youth on Napster and Kazaa.
- Kim_Bruning 2mo agoI'm a little confused, since afaik anthropic doesn'thave any models to do with music.
