Anthropic Is Quietly Cutting Google Out of the Equation
- robocat 1mo agoInterestingly uses Chromium. Surely at some point Google has to find a way to fight back against Edge et al. Perhaps only if they start losing significant market share - owning standards has value. I wonder if Google has longer term lock-in plans (maybe springboarding off Android). I guess it is hard to have internal intent while avoiding discovery for antimonopoly laws
- f33d5173 1mo agoIf it wasn't chromium it would be gecko or webkit. Google only controls web standards because everyone builds on chromium.
