Anything can be scaled up or down. I don't see how other countries including the US couldn't take the Icelandic approach and do the same thing.

- graeme 14y agoThink about what you just said. Complex systems generally don't scale linearly. Of course everyone else could do the same thing. But would it have the same effect? I don't know. Edit: That said, my intuition is that default + devaluation is actually the right way to go for many countries. But the effects will be much more complex if many countries do it, and if bigger countries do.
