Support for HTML's playbackRate API was landed a few weeks back. See bug 495040 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495040 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495040 This means that sites that control playback speed using the HTML media API should work.
