Bidets need to become the norm. Canada's massive logging and mineral extraction industries have lead to significantly reduced tree-cover and (in some places) long term deforestation.
- throwforfeds 2mo agoNot sure why the down votes, having even just a simple bidet sprayer attachment is strictly better than toilet paper. It's not even close.
- ForOldHack 2mo agoThe Fraiser River Valley is one of the very most sustainable forests on the planet. The mineral extraction at Ft MacMurry has very little usable wood for lumber, and even less for paper, I believe that its a lot of manzinata that is used for OSB. I have not looked at this in a while, because my father studied forest management at UBC. Would you like for me to prove this with say 15~20 references?

- vadertemp 2mo agoMoving from the east to west recently the rarity of and aversion to bidets is one of the strangest things to see in the western world.
- pibaker 2mo agoItaly is a western country that requires bidets in all homes by law.
- edoceo 2mo agoDon't users still need to dry off with paper? (I do, am I using it wrong?)

- Fire-Dragon-DoL 1mo agoWe have personal small towels to dry off near each bidet in Italy. Not sure if you mean that or the fact that we pre-clean with toilet paper
- imglorp 2mo agoGot one at home now. Rarely buy paper any more. And you're cleaner down there.
- Fire-Dragon-DoL 1mo agoPeople say that but even in Italy where bidet is common, you do the first 1-2 passes with toilet paper, then proceed to use a bidet
