I've been using them for a bit over an year now, although I've ramped up usage in the past few months (like everyone else, I suppose). They've hallucinated and lied, but none have ever been as persistent liars as Sol has to me.
- giwook 1mo agoLet's be careful about anthropomorphizing large language models. They are probabilistic models that are simply giving you words in a sequence they think makes the most sense to them. No one is "lying" to you :)
- VulgarExigency 1mo agoWell, yes, it does not know it is lying (it does not know anything, in fact). But for some reason, with Sol specifically, it has persistently written false information when it had the correct information within its context to a degree I've not experienced with other models.
