I don't think I've ever seen the interwebs talking about one thing as much as right now.
- shadowgovt 2mo agoWhen Michael Jackson died, reaction online was so sudden it made Google search backend stumble... They didn't have a solution to auto-hotspot-protect half the planet searching his name suddenly. I'll be interested to see if the mitigations hold today.
- dsiegel2275 2mo agoAs a performer, sure. But Dolly was 1000x the songwriter that Johnny Cash was.

- kstrauser 2mo agoLet’s not get carried away. Dolly was brilliant, inarguably. But no one is 1000x the songwriter of Johnny Freaking Cash, who was also estimated to have written over 1,000 songs for himself and for others. Let’s just agree that they’re both S-tier writers.
