hey, writer here! You're right. The way I wrote that 5th milestone gives away the impression that coding advances is purely due to CoT. I added explicit mentions to Codex and DeepMind advances of that time, with some of them predating CoT. It's really difficult to say this story as linearly as possible, cause a lot of things were happening at the same time haha. Thanks for flagging.
