No, because the GU in GUID stands for globally unique. Adding it to a second image would cause a detectable collision.
Also, C2PA, another technology mentioned in the article, means tampering is easily detected.

- janc_ 1mo agoCollision only detectable when you have both messages. Detecting a forgery seems more likely.
- joshheitzman 1mo agoIt depends on which version of GUID it is. Only version 3 and 5 are hash based. The other versions are random, time, and/or MAC address based.
