Somewhat related, but I bought a "minimalist phone" recently, and there are edges everywhere (for example, the most recent is not supporting adding a contact from a .vcf file someone texted me). Some features make a phone feel MORE minimalist, by erasing edges. Maybe my understanding of minimalism is different from other people, but my experience makes me feel that maybe there are a significant number of "minimalist" or "distraction-free" brands that are really just using it as a justification to sell incomplete products, rather than products that are minimal with intentionality.
