I preregistered a falsifiable EEG study for consciousness. Challenge the method
- richardaamaya 2mo agoI've published the preregistration for Study 1 of the Amaya Consciousness Research Program. Zenodo DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.22070648. The study tests whether a preregistered neural variable—wPLI between F4/P4, 10–12 Hz, 200–400 ms—can distinguish Seen vs Unseen report boundaries under visual masking, while surviving a non-conscious synthetic countermodel by a locked 0.05 AUROC margin. Everything is frozen: time-frequency method (Morlet 6 cycles), Bayesian stopping (BF10 > 10 / < 0.1), nuisance controls, countermodel residualization rule. No human data yet. No consciousness claim made. I welcome adversarial review. The framework is built to fail if wrong. The protocol is open, timestamped, and ready to be attacked.
