- nirmal 18y agoThere is USB Host so there is always the option of a USB based Wifi card. Not fast but possible.
- mooism2 18y agoThere will doubtless be a version with wifi built in in due course, whether from them or someone else. I'd quite like one that doubles as a power strip.
- etal 18y agoThat made me think of this: http://www.media.mit.edu/resenv/projects.html http://www.media.mit.edu/resenv/projects.html Ubiquitous computing at the MIT Media Lab -- I saw a great presentation on this a couple years ago by Joe Paradiso. Their idea was also to embed networked computers in power strips as a hub for everything else to communicate through. It's called the Plug on this page.
- drinian 18y agoUnfortunately, my experience seems to be that very few wireless manufacturers are really willing to make their hardware "open." This problem seems to have hit OpenMoko as well; I'm guessing this is why they don't have 3G. So it'll probably come along someday.
