Take the USMCA - Canada and the US at times team up against Mexico and then the pendulum swings, line item by line item - no one has anyone’s back and they all have short memories
A deal with the US when others turns away from them is still a good deal
- make3 1mo agoI think it's a prisoners dilemma & that democracy, with its short term incentives, leads to politicians taking the easy way out, even if it creates bad precedent for their countries. obviously democracy is still better than the alternative though
