In your 20s and 30s, it's relatively easy to brute-force physical and mental health problems.
I didn't understand what the word "stress" even meant exactly until I got into my late 30s. Then I realized that I had been under extreme stress for most of my life but had not noticed it because I could just keep going despite constant exhaustion and borderline depression. Then, that suddenly stopped working.
I wish I'd realized this a decade or two earlier.
