AI is about to uncover a hidden world of animal communication
- andsoitis 1mo agounderstanding more of animal communication would be cool. I'm most interesting in communication amongst fungi and amongst plants and especially amongst fungi & plants.
- chocrates 1mo agoPlant intelligence is so amazing. There is no evidence for it but I like to imagine trees are a huge mass of neural tissue that is existing and possibly thinking.
- lubujackson 1mo agoThey are even cooler than that. Trees in a forest are connected through mycellium networks, which are said to have more connections underground than neurons in your brain. They showed if one tree was environmentally stresses it would signal to nearby trees through this network and other trees respond by closing up shop until the threat has resolved.
