- colesantiago 1mo agoHow do you feel that your boss funded this Linux distro? Do you think it is time to leave Stripe?
- jasonvorhe 1mo agoInteresting you chose to link to 2 hit peaces interpreting his political views from their perspective instead of his posts detailing those views directly.

- ilikehurdles 1mo agoBut you do. You're a tech lead at Stripe and your CEO is a founding contributor to this foundation. This is what you fund with your labor. And if you weren't afraid of people coming to their own conclusion about DHH you could just link to his blog[1] rather than some literal marxist's opinions about his blog. Why not be intellectually honest and curious enough to state what someone says and point out what you disagree with directly rather than mimetically echo someone else's outrage? - ramblerman 1mo agoIt must get exhausting keeping track of what everybody thinks to know if a project is worthwhile. In this case, I hate to tell you - the owner of the company you work for invested a million into this. So... you should probably quit your job, unless this is all just performative outrage...

- tangue 1mo agoI'm with you. And beyond his political views, I've never been particularly impressed by anything he's built, from Basecamp to HEY. I can at least understand why some people admire Elon Musk because of what he's accomplished, even if I don't share that admiration. But the almost cult-like devotion some people have for DHH is a complete mystery to me.
