You're Not a Universal Mosquito Magnet
- bell-cot 2mo agoLemme know when you got some sorta probiotic skin ointment that repels all my local species of bloodsuckers - okay? Bonus points if it does the same for ticks.
- enragebait 2mo agoTry coconut oil! I get five hours of coverage though it doesn’t work if you sweat through your clothes. There is certainly some kind of magnetism. Have you ever noticed they like to go for the feet? Or more sensitive skin areas, I find they will go for the edges of scars.
- BillSims 2mo agoDo any other old people here remember getting bitten by mosquitos seems like multiple times a day as a child and realize now that they don't remember having a mosquito bite in the last decade or more? Any plausible idea why that might have happened? I was outside then and I'm still outside now. I tromped through roadside grass for miles this morning and don't seem to have a single insect bite, no ticks, no fleas, no unwelcome passengers. Perhaps related, does anyone know of a cheap little gadget I could buy or build and which would attract and catch the majority of all flying insects here? I don't mean to kill them. I'm wondering what the population is like here. Thanks
