- jfengel 2mo agoThe impression I get is that a lot of people believe that Canada's inability to get a good deal means that it must be a good deal for us. They specifically want a person of bad character, so long as they believe he's on our side. Character second. Money first. It's certainly not clear that it is in fact better for us. Nor how to deal with the cognitive dissonance of knowing that you're putting money ahead of character. But I'm hard pressed to change anybody's mind when they think it will cost them money.
