Yes, I thought that too. But no, that wouldn't be realistic. Their IDEs are massive, to rewrite them in Rust they would probably also have to rewrite half of the library code in the Java ecosystem.
- norman784 2mo agoWasn’t their newer text editor/IDE written in Rust? I forgot how it was called and also didn’t followed up with their development.

- tonyedgecombe 1mo agoNo, Fleet was written in Kotlin running on the JVM. I seem to remember it used Skia for the UI.
