ZKP's Aren't Age Verification Silver Bullets
- gnabgib 2mo agoWow EFF, you should un-publish this. The main attack (proof it's not silver) is an extension that had elevated rights? That's a browser issue, not a ZKP issue. Telling someone I'm >70 is vastly superior to telling someone the year-month-day, country, hospital, and my full legal name. An attack from the EFF against privacy. Hopefully they've been hacked and this post is a byproduct. ZKP is sound, although the certifying authority taking away your rights is a real issue, so is the (current) notary public process in a lot of the world. You can switch notaries, but not if they use the same sources (government databases).
