I definitely do. Being reimbursed by my employer helps make it easier, but I find value in things like this, Railscasts, Destroy All Software, etc... It's not that I couldn't google for the answers when I meet with a specific problem. Often I'm not aware that there is a problem because my software works but I'm missing out on a really awesome design pattern that I don't know about. These productions help serendipitously introduce me to new knowledge.
