  International adoption is actually extremely controversial and full of abuse. Many countries have straight up banned it and basically declared that the folks who want to adopt outside of their borders are by-in-large "creepy weirdos" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_adoption https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_adoption

    I don’t think that’s relevant to the “genetic legacy” crap. Non-international adoption fails just as much in that respect.
