Worth adding, that "yoshimi battles the pink robots" is an amazing album by the same band about a woman's battle with cancer, and love, and loss. It was just turned into an amazing play (technically an opera (rock opera!) since it's just the album being acted out on stage with very few words added) that is being performed at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego (The home to Tommy, Rent*, Jersey Boys, and many other breakthrough plays). I saw the play, and it's really terrific, especially since almost everyone has a connection to cancer and loss. And the music is terrific.
