- matthewfcarlson 2mo agolol, I was just thinking that. The assmbly makerspace is probably closest I know of to something like this.
- ZenoArrow 2mo agoI live in the UK and we have a decent network of repair spaces here, including in my home city. As for one in Austin TX, closest I could find is this: https://www.austintexas.gov/resource-recovery/fix-it-austin https://www.austintexas.gov/resource-recovery/fix-it-austin However, there's nothing stopping you from setting one up if you see the value in it.
- ravetcofx 2mo agoWorth reaching out to Rossmann Repair Group https://rossmanngroup.com/ https://rossmanngroup.com/ to see if they are willing to do more free repair workshops/cafes which they were in the past.
- Junk_Collector 2mo agoIf you live in Austin proper, your local library may have repair meetups as part of the Austin Fix-it program.
- tocs3 2mo agoI do not live in Austin but I also know that Canyon Lake, Wimberley, and Bulverde libraries all have nice maker spaces.
