ChatGPT has largely become unusable to me because of its system prompts. Perhaps it’s because I’m on the free tier, but every response in ChatGPT (compared to the raw models, which are excellent) is so effectively unhelpful and redundant. It’s beyond me why a company as large as OpenAI self sabotages in this way, but hopefully a more open system prompt ecosystem changes things.
