I bring it up because the more we tolerate that and the more we reward that behavior on HN, the more we will get that behavior.
- fidotron 2mo agoWhat about tolerating and rewarding comments that complain about possible AI authoring? If the article is decent and interesting let it stand, if it's not then it will fail by itself.
- ant6n 2mo agoWell if the first comment days AI slop, then I don’t have to read it, so it helps with the weeding.
- fidotron 2mo agoWhat if it's not actually AI slop and just someone jumping on it? This whole section has been completely derailed by this, as have many others. These non discussions are a far bigger problem than what they claim to be defending against.
