From the FAQ:

A bike part you can't use in more than light rain seems like a pretty big drawback to me.
- fulafel 2mo agoGood find. Most people can probably live with not using it in heavy rain, but the text implies it can break even if exposed to heavy rain when parked.
- Configure0251 2mo agoAlso doesn't look compatible with a rear fender
