I don't think "this feels true because it agrees with my personal biases" is a particularly great way to evaluate things.
Better to be honest with ourselves, acknowledging the potential harm of a particular activity, while deciding to still do it because it makes your life better and you've decided the trade off is worth it.
- newsomix9xl 2mo agoI find evaluating things that agree with my biases also agrees with my biases towards evaluation. And, on balance, it tends to be more positive than negative. So Win-Win!!
