Ask HN: Why don't we see ARM laptops from China?
Just wondering: how comes we haven't seen a flood of ARM laptops on shops like Aliexpress?
- jeffnash 2mo agoI have a Honor MagicBook Art with a Snapdragon X Elite I got off of Aliexpress and love it. It's only available in China and the EU AFAIK. The seller initially sent me a Thinkpad with a Pentium III, claimed it was a 'mistake', and said they were sending me the correct order. I was doubtful, but sure enough, it came. Battery life is amazing and the thing is really well-made.
- __patchbit__ 2mo agoThere's likely a niche market for ThinkPad Immortals where customers send in their model for interior design and refit with latest chips and display resolutions, ramaxxing.

- wmf 2mo agoAre people in China mostly using Windows? ARM Windows laptops have been pretty poor value.
