My mindset is quite the opposite, yes it it annoying to travail more heavy, but nothing worse than when you are in a trip and you were unexpectedly soaked too many times, or sweated too much under heavy rain and have nothing to change because you just run out of the last pair of socks that you planned for the exact number of days. There is something very comforting to know that you have everything needed and you don't have to worry.
