A small battery has been ringing a bell since 1840. No one knows what's inside
- Terr_ 2mo agoIt'd be funny if some quirk of its design caused it to benefit from external radio waves. If so, we might wait a very long time and then be a little disappointed. I would hope this kind of museum would already have a lot of shielding around in addition to the glass jars.
- nomel 2mo agoIt would also be funny if someone was secretly in charge of maintaining a magnetic coil built into the shelf under the based, as a very long running prank.
- euroderf 2mo agoOh c'mon, can't they shoot X-rays at it or take an infinitesimal air sample or something ?
- gus_massa 2mo agoI expect spectroscopy to be useful too.
