The one I went to last week had a banner advertising a $20/hr starting wage. Clearly they'd like to hire more.
- xp84 2mo agoWell, they almost always need to be hiring due to turnover. But they’re not trying to increase their number of people scheduled at once. Also, in California, that’s now the minimum wage allowed by law for fast food. Fast food is a special, higher-minimum exception for some silly reason. (And I say this as someone who spent over 2 years of my youth doing that work.)
- jldugger 2mo agoAh, TIL. I knew prevailing wages were higher locally but was surprised to see it hit $20. Now I guess I know why.
