IMO it shouldn't need a warrant, but it should require the searcher to fill out a form explaining which crime they are investigating with this search. It can then immediately show them results without approval, but with serious consequences for misuse. They could even run some AI over the request forms to spot unusual activity like an officer constantly requesting the location of their ex wife.
