Not sure about "on a dime". AI companies are currently spending billions of dollars every year, with none making any profit.
Sure, AI will get better. I even say that at the end. But, the replacement scare is unfounded. My point is mostly, AI will make humans more human rather than more unemployed.
- JoeAltmaier 2mo agoSOrry, I meant 'from the consumer point of view'. Once the billions are spent, I just update my version. Yes so far the AI takeover is overblown. I see that changing - at some point, the AI functionality will improve to the point it CAN replace people for many things. Every year it is leaps and bounds beyond what came before.
