What Happened to the American University?
- mrhottakes 2mo agoEffectively the same thing that happened to the US: a coordinated right-wing project executed over the past fifty years or so, enabled by a society that looked at the aftermath of World War II and concluded that leftist politics are dangerous. Capital cannot achieve absolute domination if egalitarian projects like universities persist.
- Carell 2mo agoI'm from China. The US has great universities. Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Caltech, Yale, Princeton, Berkley... But they elected a President that decided to defund them and slash research grants. I guess this is how they want to compete. Trump is overwhelming popular with southerners. These people just don't value science. They prefer religion.
