That was a fun read. I was a draftsman as a teenager in the late 80s and I did my best to make my handwriting look like those letters. Then, as a CAD operator, I put that font on everything I produced. It never once occurred to me that it looked like that because it was designed to be legibly engraved.
- mech998877 2mo agoGorton does strike me as very similar to Century Gothic which is the default font for a lot of CAD software I've used (Creo, maybe others).
