Curl: Nobody Wants to Work with Windows
- f30e3dfed1c9 2mo agoThey should just drop support for Windows and let Microsoft develop something with similar functionality. If Microsoft doesn't, well, them's the breaks.
- edflsafoiewq 2mo agoThere is already Invoke-WebRequest. Powershell 5 infamously shipped with "curl" as an alias for it. So be careful what you wish for.
- chrisandchris 2mo agoIsn't Invoke-WebRequest the one that makes it really hard to have an exit code != 0 if your request fails?
- PenguinCoder 2mo agoI REALLY hate that alias.
- rini17 2mo agoSince curl has minimal non-copyleft license, Microsoft can just use it as is. However seems they lost capability to properly maintain anything, most obvious problems will be patched with AI crap at best.
