Sketchy article. Weird nonsense like this in a few places: To calculate the position, the signals of four satellites should be locked, that’s why you need to keep moving around to get a clear reception. The spoofing instructions are interesting, but look like someone who's only heard of Linux transcribed them. "MAKE" command is a mistake that someone who has only ever used Windows would commit.
- Shubham_Thorat 2mo agoThanks for pointing these out. You’re right that the wording around the four-satellite requirement was incorrect — a receiver does not need to be moving to lock onto four satellites; movement may only help improve reception when the view of the sky is obstructed. The “MAKE command” wording was also incorrect. It should have been documented as the appropriate `make` build step for the repository. The intent of the article was to provide a practical introduction to GNSS and demonstrate static spoofing, but these points should have been worded more accurately. I appreciate the technical feedback and will get them corrected.
