Humans' sense of smell is still evolving

couldn't read the article but Covid fucked up everyone's noses and that undoubtedly had some effect on reproduction.

Subtitle is much more informative: A genetic study shows how smell capabilities were maintained in a hunter-gatherer population [in which having a better sense of smell is very valuable] Kinda interesting - but IIR it's been known for a century or so that small populations which subsist by (low-tech) deep diving for pearls are genetically superior at deep diving. And several other variations on this same theme.

Everything about humans is still evolving.
