FFmpeg Compiler?
Is anyone aware of a source-to-source compiler whose target language is FFmpeg’s filtergraph syntax?
With Bioscoop, I am in a position to make certain claims of which the strongest is precisely that: "To our knowledge, Bioscoop is the first source-to-source compiler whose target language is FFmpeg’s filtergraph syntax." I would love to be proven wrong. Thank you.
- danielszm 2mo agoThe paper can be found in the Bioscoop repo at https://github.com/danielsz/bioscoop https://github.com/danielsz/bioscoop. - gus_massa 2mo agoIs it a clojure-like to FFmpeg’s filtergraph transpiler? Is it a library for clojure?
- danielszm 2mo agoYes and yes. The source language is a subset of Clojure, a small Lisp. And yes, it is also a library for Clojure. On top of it being a standalone compiler.
- gus_massa 2mo agoWait a few days and post again a link to https://github.com/danielsz/bioscoop https://github.com/danielsz/bioscoop with a title like "Bioscoop: DSL in Clojure for FFmpeg Filtergraph composition" that is the title of the PDF but I added Clojure somewhere in the middle. A few minutes later add a comment in HN explaining you are the author and will answer questions, and also a link to the pdf and your question about other similar projects that target filtergraph.
- danielszm 2mo agoI appreciate this very much. Thank you. Will do.
