If the Chinese want to sell to EU customers, they probably have to do the same.
- mhjkl 2mo agoI’ve seen Chinese open weights models say “can’t use this if you’re in Europe” in their licenses, so I doubt they would invest too much into complying
- Mashimo 2mo agoYou mean the model itself? Yeah, probably not needed if you self host. If they run a service that they sell and they are a bigger player like Alibaba, I doubt they can just ignore it.
