Geek Fighter – 2d fighter game
- benoau 2mo agoVery nice. The font or font on buttons like "CHOOSE DIFFICULTY" and "CHANGE FIGHTER" is badly exceeding the bounds of the button. May need Jonah Hill as the final boss.
- mslt 2mo agoThis is well executed and stupidly amusing - can I get an APK port for my android handheld? Would make for a fun game night with some buddies

- gota 2mo agoOnly issue is I do not recognize many of the fighters as technically apt, much less "geek"

- krapp 2mo agoYes. There is a lot more to a competent game than the graphics. The text often doesn't fit on the UI properly (at least not in my browser,) the music is generic and doesn't fit the motif, and the gameplay itself is terribly simplistic. The sprites are nice, although in a few frames I think I saw some errors with the transparency. Like every other vibe-coded game out there it's a good technical demo for the capabilities of AI but it's not a good game.

- BugsJustFindMe 2mo agoThe only thing good about this is the sprites, and I'm not sure how authentic those are. If you look at PG's kick, the animation suddenly switches to the other leg, which I feel like a human would not have done.

- dr_kiszonka 2mo agoInteresting product. Are you really using Fable 5 to generate sounds? FYI, in Chrome for Android, the only way to hide those bottom sheets is to tap the handle. Grabbing and sliding them down, reloads the page, which is a little annoying.

- plaguuuuuu 2mo agoI created a gamelan sequencer with it. I intended on using samples but it went ahead and created a bunch of synthesized instruments in javascript with the right (ish) overtones, in the right tuning system, it was pretty crazy. 3d instruments animation with 3d audio positioning. edit: maybe i should post it to HN
- purpleghostx 2mo agoThought it said Greek Fighter which would actually be sick like Socrates vs Plato and they have special powers like Plato has Atlantis which summons a tidal wave etc
- btschaegg 2mo agoThe "geek" in the title is definitely a lie. I can think of an entire series of fitting expletives to replace it, though.
