- n4r9 2mo agoIf you click the question mark it has: > Pub data is sourced from the Food Hygiene Rating Service (FHRS) via GetTheData Open Pubs https://www.getthedata.com/open-pubs https://www.getthedata.com/open-pubs
- MrDOS 2mo agoAh, interesting. Searching the dataset for my local area, this seems to include some restaurants, but omits hotels entirely. That's skewing the numbers downward tremendously.

- 2b3a51 2mo agoWhich explains why Spearmint Rhino is listed in Birmingham (hint: you might get a surprise popping in that establishment for a quick pint). So nice interface and all but some data curation will be needed - perhaps on a crowd sourced basis? Click and add comment &c.
- flir 2mo agoI thought about doing something similar pre-Covid. There are commercial datasets that are more complete (Local Data Company was the one I targeted when I was researching), but... well... £000's a quarter. The project would have had to cover its costs, so the idea went to the great backlog in the sky.
