On the other hand, you're approaching tautology with what you seem to be implying here, which is "flaws or challenges that you can fix yourself aren't mental health problems".
- perpetuallunch 2mo agoThere’s no such thing as “mental health issues”. There is such a thing as the “Mental Health Industrial Complex”. How did humans evolve and survive for hundreds of thousands of years without “mental health issues” and suddenly 23% of children in public schools have a diagnosis.
- fatbird 2mo agoThe same way they survived and evolved for hundreds of thousands of years with cancer and different bacterial infections and viruses and congenital defects: they suffered from them, sometimes died from them. They didn't lack mental health issues, they just lived or died with them unaddressed or poorly addressed. What a stupid argument.
