Almost like all western civilization is architected to ensure the benefit of a few at the expense of the many by design doesn't it? If not by design than by emergent consequence of how it executes.
- jongjong 2mo agoYes, the full extractive structure is much more visible now. Used to be discussed as "conspiracy theory" but now it's obvious that such structure exists and it doesn't require any conspiracy; shared incentives suffice. So yes, I would say that this structure is emergent.
- johnnyanmac 2mo agoBeing a ignorant college student in the early 2010's certainly didn't help. 2016 was a wakeup call but I still figured the checks and balances would be there. 2024 was my "fool me twice" moment. It won't happen thrice without some proper resistance; I'll make sure of that next time.
