- iterateoften 2mo ago? What? A healthy colon and diet usually do not need to strain or rush. Just sit and poop. like 1min tops.
- squidbeak 2mo agoYou need to get that dysentery tended to.
- iterateoften 2mo ago? Sorry? A healthy colon and diet it’s not liquid or messy. A nice type 4 normal solid log that slides on out. I’m very scared for most people I see online discussing BMs. People have some seriously twisted up guts and diets.
- VeninVidiaVicii 2mo agoIt seems we are unfamiliar with sarcasm.
- squidbeak 2mo agoAre you trying to let people know you're a generator of superior fecal matter? If so, there's no need to apologize for it. Carry that stuff with pride.
- wizzwizz4 2mo agoEveryone's gut is different, but one minute isn't unreasonably short, especially if you have something like a bidet for fast cleaning afterwards. Are you sure you're not constipated?
- squidbeak 2mo agoI'm fine, enjoying my book.
- cpncrunch 2mo agoDon't you think that if you have time to read your book then you don't really need to poop yet? Why not just wait until you're ready to go in?
- squidbeak 2mo agoWho says the readers are waiting while they sit? What's the rush out of there? Maybe this will make the concept easier for you to understand - Restaurant: sit, eat, drink, chatter, coats, car, home. Toilet: sit, splash, tinkle, read, wipe, wash, out.
- cpncrunch 2mo agoSure, but the actual splash act just takes a minute at most, and usually about 10 seconds for me. I don't understand how you can have time to read anything.
- wizzwizz4 2mo agoYou're getting your book dirty for what is, as far as I can understand, no real reason. Why not read your book after washing your hands? (If you have a severe chair shortage, then sure, I can sort of understand: sitting to read is pleasant.)

- al_borland 2mo agoFlip side: sitting too long on the toilet increases hemorrhoid risk. [0] Not having a distraction doesn’t mean a person needs to strain. [0] https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12407481/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12407481/
- squidbeak 2mo agoLong-time toiletsitter, here. No haemorrhoids.
- folkrav 2mo agoSome people don’t die from cancer after smoking their whole lives either.
- squidbeak 2mo agoI can tell you're not going to like it if I light up next time I sit down to it.
- VeninVidiaVicii 2mo agoAh ol smoop
- bsammon 2mo agoThat's an interesting article/study. I've heard this claim before and I've suspected it came from "using phone one the toilet correlates to more time spent on the toilet, and more time spent on the toilet correlates to more hemorrhoids" without (I don't know the proper terminology here) analyzing how those two correlations relate. This article/study asks the question that I've wondered about: Is sitting on a toilet while using the phone (and not really trying to poop) different in some important way from sitting on a bench/chair/whatever while using the phone? The article hypothesizes that the shape of the seat may be the important distinction. AKA "sitting and waiting for a poop" vs "sitting and waiting for a bus".
