I have dealt with the Byzantine App Store bureaucracy before. What you do here, is you submit a new version, pretty much identical to the previous one, with the comment “tarot function removed”.
- midtake 2mo agoBut then you're lying. Why not add the comment "no tarot function" without reference to whether it existed in the past? A bit confusing because it's a trivial and seemingly unrelated statement but at least then you wouldn't be lying.

- recursive 2mo agoYou can just add one and then remove it. That way you're not lying. And also it doesn't sound like you're disagreeing with them so you sound like a problem.

- bladeacidic 2mo agoWhy not just lie? The white lie is the most expedient thing to get the results you want, which is getting the app into the app store. It's not a slippery slope into a total moral decay of you as a human being. If a friend is hiding from an abusive partner, and that partner asks where your friend is, telling the truth would put your friend in danger, so lying is an important skill to have. The lie in this case gets past a pointless requirement.

- knlam 2mo agoYou are dealing with unreasonable party here. Like the game theory, you have to think what is the next best move. I bet you have not deal with appstore review before, I remember last time even mention google or android in privacy policy will get your app rejected

- echelon 2mo agoIs Gruber starting to realize Apple's monopoly is bad? App stores should not exist in a world where only two phone operating systems exist. All apps MUST be installable via web. Come on, EU. Help us out here. Free us from distribution tyranny. Do it before Google morphs into the same hell beast. Soon you won't be able to read unapproved, unattested bytes. It's coming. We need as many freedoms as we can get. Apple can be a great company without the app store monopoly. So can Google.
- starik36 2mo agoThe other side of your coin is that I need to periodically visit my relatives and remove all sorts of malware and adware from their phones. Just like I've done with PCs over the past few decades.
- baby_souffle 2mo agoI get your point but neither the Play store or the Apple app store are devoid of malware.
- iamnothere 2mo agoObviously the solution is to restrict the stores to a small, government-licensed list of apps that are known to be safe and regulated.

- joquarky 2mo agoSounds like the self checkout at Kroger when it sees the wrong weight on the bagging carousel. Just jiggle the carousel a bit and it lets you proceed.
