When have people in Tech been happy? (Serious question).

- foobiekr 2mo agoOthr than bubble $, not really. The true "golden time" was the 1980s. Creation of Cisco, Sun and SGI, and so many other things (like the personal computer), all new, incredible energy, mostly positive.
- mixmastamyk 2mo agoInternet was the new frontier in the 90s, and future so bright, “you gotta wear shades.”
- toyg 2mo agoRead Douglas Adams. We were not really happy even back then.
- gitaarik 2mo agoIndeed, the economy was still healthy, and it was the time of waiting for your code to compile and talk nonsense with your colleagues and the management would think you're the best.
- Balinares 2mo agoThere was a time when Google SREs were inventing the profession from the ground up, and it was the stuff of legend.
