- WheelsAtLarge 2mo agoObviously writing it will help but reading and understanding other's code is much more helpful at both reading and writing it. The more you read code the better you will get at reading it and writing it. Writing code will only get you so far. Reading code will expand your abilities so much more. Of course it has to be active reading. If you don't understand something, you need to take the time to Figure out why. You can't just skip it. Even code armatures will improve by reading as much code as possible,
